Media Policy

I understand that the Morrisburg & District Skating Club (hereinafter referred to as “MDSC”), may record, film, photograph, audiotape or videotape my/my child’s image, work, and performance (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Works”) and to display, publish or distribute these Works for the purpose of publishing or posting on the MDSC website or Facebook page, posting on social media sites and/or for broadcasting on television or radio as determined by the MDSC. I also understand that external media organizations may attend MDSC skating events and may record, film, photograph, audiotape or videotape my/my child’s Works for the purpose of being published and/or broadcast on-line, on television or radio.
I understand I can explicitly withdraw my consent by selecting the OPT-OUT option when registering at the beginning of the season through MDSC’s Uplifter online registration system.
If I have not supplied the opt-out information above, then I AGREE that I/my child may participate in recorded MDSC events and MDSC hosted events as described above and may participate in media events that may be published or broadcast by organizations external to the MDSC.
I hereby waive any right to approve of the use of these Works now or in the future, whether the use is known to me or unknown, and I waive any right to any royalties related to the use of these Works.
I understand that the Works may appear in electronic form on the internet or in other publications outside of the MDSC’s control. I agree that I will not hold the MDSC responsible for any harm that may arise from such unauthorized reproduction.
DISCLAIMER: Printed hard copies of controlled documents are considered uncontrolled. All personnel using hard copies for ease of reference are required to determine the up-to-date status of any hard copy document to ensure it matches the current electronic version.
